Our philosophy comes from the "Big Book" of Alcoholics Anonymous and the disease concept model of addiction. Addictions are illnesses. At Solutions we provide help for addicts, codependents, and their families who are suffering and come to us in their pain and confusion.

Solutions Outpatient Services believes the client should be treated, whenever possible, within the least restrictive environment. We know recovery is a life-long, day-to-day process. This process requires hard work, commitment, self-awareness, and honesty. Many people can achieve this on an outpatient basis through a comprehensive quality program such as Solutions. If inpatient care is appropriate and medically needed, a professional and responsible referral will be made.

Our primary goal is to have each client understand and accept the disease of addiction, his or her powerlessness over it, and that recovery is possible through abstinence and knowledge.

Solutions’ philosophy can be summed up in the following quote:

"Rarely have we seen a person fail who has thoroughly followed our path. Those who do not recover are people who cannot or will not completely give themselves to this simple program, usually men and women who are constitutionally incapable of being honest with themselves. There are such unfortunates. They are not at fault; they seem to have been born that way. They are naturally incapable of grasping and developing a manner of living which demands rigorous honesty. Their chances are less than average. There are those, too, who suffer from grave emotional and mental disorders, but many of them do recover if they have the capacity to be honest."
