Solutions Outpatient Services has
come to realize that many Dallas/Fort Worth area individuals may acquire
treatment out of the area or even out of the state. Because of this, we have
recognized that the family and significant other's participation in their family
member's treatment could be limited.
Consequently, we now offer our
Family Program for those people who have a family member in a treatment program
other than Solutions. This program will provide a safe and supportive
environment for family members to learn about the disease concept, codependency,
and how to process their feelings.
Solutions' staff will work
closely with the primary counselor and family counselor of the person in
treatment, coordinating their care. This will not substitute or replace the
family's need to attend the Family Week of their family member at the other
treatment facility.
The Family Program will be the
same for these families with the exception that they will attend the Family Week
Program of their family member at the other facility, not Solutions Outpatient
Services' Family Weekend.
