Solutions Outpatient Services' Young Adult Program has received local and national recognition for its successful structured and comprehensive approach to treatment. Furthermore, Solutions Outpatient Services is now a clinical training site for UT Southwestern Medical School's Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Department. (Click here to see what UT Southwestern has to say about our program.)

Solutions neither subscribes nor promotes quick and easy remedies for addictions. All three Phases mentioned below are important parts of this process.

Especially when working with young adults, it is our goal to challenge them to take responsibility for their own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Teaching them to build positive friendships and to live alcohol and drug free are our goals.

A frequent mistake in young adult treatment is to think of their problem simply in terms of keeping them away from drugs/alcohol and keeping drug/alcohol using friends away from them. At Solutions Outpatient Services we believe the addict must find a substitute for the addiction, addictive behavior, and addictive environment.

A new Higher Power is necessary to replace the previous higher power (drugs and alcohol). With the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous, a willingness to change, and openness to a new Higher Power, addicts have an opportunity for recovery.
