Lois is Owner and Director of Solutions Outpatient Services, which opened in 1995.

Prior to starting Solutions Outpatient Services, she served as the Executive Director of the Chemical Awareness Council, now known as CARE, from 1985 to 1988. During this time (1987), Lois was recognized as both Highland Park and University Park's Most Distinguished Citizen. This same year she was chosen as the Grand Marshal in the Highland Park 4th of July Parade for her contribution in the areas of chemical dependency and codependency.
From 1988 through February 1999, Lois owned and maintained a private practice she devoted to individual, group, and family therapy. During this time she also opened Solution Outpatient Services, which continues to successfully provide outpatient addiction treatment to adults as well as family support services.
Lois has served on the board of the Greater Dallas Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, CARE, and the Twelfth Step Ministry. She is a nationally recognized speaker and has made guest appearances on national and local television and radio shows, including The Oprah Winfrey Show, CBS 11 News, NBC 5 News, KTRK-TV's Debra Duncan Show (Houston's ABC affiliate), KRLD 1080's Legal Eagles Show, 570 KLIF Radio's Weekend Well-Being Show, Today’s Family TV Show, and several others. Most recently she was a Special Guest on The Curtis Initiative on KLIF 570AM on April 21, 2013, and was interviewed on ABC 8 News on December 12, 2013.
Lois has also presented to the Texas Society of Adolescent & Child Psychiatrists and has taught at UT Southwestern Medical School to the adolescent psychiatry fellows numerous times.
